What Do You Think?

It has been said, we think one million thoughts a day.

What you think or believe will direct your future and quality of life.

Give the following questions some thought!

• Do you have any kind of Spiritual belief?

• If there is a God, do you think He needs anything?

• To you who is Jesus?

• What do you think happens when you die?

• If what you believe is not true, do you what to know?

The Holy Scriptures (Old Testament) spoke of:

(The oldest accurate history of mankind)

1. How we were created and the garden we lived in. Genesis 1:31)

2. The fall of mankind which resulted in paradise lost, pain, suffering and death bought about by Adam. (Genesis 2:17-19)

3. History reveals misery and destruction has been ours ever since. “For the earth is filled with violence because of Adam.” (Genesis 6:13)

4. The Old Testament also prophesied, God would not leave us in this fallen state, but would rescue us from death destruction, which was never God’s plan for us. (Psalm 103, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 28:18 and 43:25)

5. Setting free those who were doomed to death. (Psalm 102:20)

6. Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, the former things shall not be remembered. (Isaiah 65:17)

God Promised to undo what Adam did!

The New Testament: Fulfillment of Promise

(The life death and resurrection of Jesus Christ)

1. Jesus born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:26-38 and Matthew 1:22-23)

2. God called Him, “My beloved Son.” (Matthew 3:17 and John 1:14)

3. He was sinless, like Adam before the fall, showing us true humanity; the way God intended man to be.(Philippians 2:8)

4. Tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 5:15)

5. He was the Lamb of God to take away sin and death. (John 1:29, Romans 1:1-4, and 16:25-26, John 19:6 1 Peter 1:18-19, 1 Timothy 1:1-15 and Hebrews 2:9)

“And though they found no ground for putting Him to death, they asked Pilate that He be executed. And when they had carried out all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a tomb. But God raised Him from the dead.” (Acts 13:28-30)

Bringing Life through Death

(Undoing what Adam did)

• I make known to you the Gospel, by which you are saved….that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried and was raised on the third day.

(1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

• For since by man came death, by a Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.

(1 Corinthians 15:21-22)

• Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

(Romans 5:18)

“For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God” (1 Peter 3:18)

What must I do to be saved?

(Our part)

• “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.” (Acts 16:3)

• “Whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

• “Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sin.” (Acts 10:43)

• “This is the work of God that you believe in Him who He sent.” (John 6:29)

Realize your utter hopelessness to gain God’s favor then believe that God in Christ has removed sin, guilt and death once for all.

(John 5:24, Acts 3:38-39, 1 Corinthians 1:21, 2 Corinthians 5:19, Romans 4:4-6 and 10:4)

Do you believe this right now?

My prayer; Father, thank you for your great love, Jesus I believe and receive you as my Lord and Savior. I now know sin and death can no longer bind, hold or keep me, “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15)
